I was lucky enough to be sent off at Seatac Airport by my wonderful parents, nephew and boyfriend. Upon arrival at Seatac we went straight to the scales to rearrange my baggage in order to not have any of it be overweight. I was not able to take my backpacking backpack on, but the lady behind the counter checked it for free, AND I was also able to have my guitar gate-checked. Everything ended up working out just fine, though saying goodbye was a bit tougher than I anticipated. On the plane I was seated at a window seat next to an exit. The view was good, but the door took away about 1/3 of my leg room. Luckily, no one was sitting in the two seats in front of me, so I was able to snag those. It was nice being able to stretch out and have two monitors, one to track the flight and one to watch movies on. I was able to sleep a little and am not feeling too tired (which is nice considering that it is almost midnight for me & 7am here). So for now I am waiting at the airport in Iceland for my connecting flight to Oslo. |
